2022: Non-stop Action

January is almost over — even CNY is almost over — but out of the past few years, 2022 perhaps deserve a reflection the most and so I just gotta pen down my thoughts about all that has happened in the past year to let myself properly settle into this new year, even though there is only about 11 months remaining now.

The difference

My closing paragraph of my 2021 reflections was for this year’s to not be about how fast time flies. Well, it still felt like 2022 went past rather quickly, but this time it felt like the year was packed with so much more, maybe even more than the past two to three years combined.

Of course, experiences can’t be compared with this way, but having gone on two work trips to new places I’ve not travelled to, putting up a ‘proper’ group exhibition after so long while marking my 5th work anniversary, showing as part of SIPF and completing an online arts residency made 2022 a very different year compared to the ones before.

Five Years On

And so it’s been five years for me at the gallery already. Incredible. And not something anyone would have imagined. It’s been quite a journey and it seems that the journey continues a little further for now.

Still going solo
